In 1908, Deptford and Blackheath were distinct areas of London with their own unique features. Deptford was a bustling industrial and commercial center with a rich history dating back to the 16th century. The area was home to many shipyards and maritime industries, and had a strong connection to the Royal Navy. The parish church of St. Paul, Deptford was a prominent landmark, dating back to the 17th century.

Blackheath, on the other hand, was a quieter residential area with a rich history dating back to Roman times. It was known for its beautiful open spaces and greenery, including the famous Blackheath Common. St. Margaret's Church was a prominent landmark in the area, dating back to the 14th century.

The two areas were connected by the A2 road, which runs from London to Dover. Other historical places of interest in the area included the ruins of the 16th century Sayes Court Manor House in Deptford and the 18th century Ranger's House in Blackheath, which is now a public museum.

Whether you're a history buff, a cartography enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique piece of decor for your home or office, this map is sure to delight. It's a piece of history that you can own and enjoy for years to come.
